Kate offers the following programs for schools:

Sounds of the Southern Ocean Writing is more than what we see. In this interactive program, students listen to whale sounds and practice incorporating the five senses into their writing.

Writing is Exciting As a part of her writing adventure, Kate has traveled the world, seen wonderful places, and met amazing people. In this session, students explore the other side of writing--research--and add activities like interviews and exploration to their toolset for gathering information.

Getting Terrible Trouble into Your Story Trouble is a lot more fun when it happens to someone else--like the characters in a story. This session gives students tools for getting their characters into (and back out of) terrible trouble.

Writing and Revising This session explores the myth that good writing happens by just putting words on paper and gives students insight into the process of revising their writing for power and impact.
